Out-of-home advertising companies
“Out-of-home advertising companies” fall into four types, and knowing which is which stops you overpaying. Networks own the inventory and sell it directly. DOOH platforms (SSP/DSP) are the programmatic pipes. Marketplaces aggregate and compare. Agencies plan and buy for you — for a fee. This is an independent directory of the taxi, rideshare and cartop OOH companies specifically: we list every real operator, take no referral fees, and sell nothing.
The four kinds of OOH company
Media owners / networks
They own the inventory — the wraps, cartops, screens or boards. In taxi/car OOH these are the wrap networks (Carvertise, Wrapify, Nickelytics, Good Traffic) and digital-top networks (Firefly, Uber OOH, Curb). You’re buying directly from the source.
DOOH ad-tech platforms (SSP/DSP)
They don’t own screens; they’re the programmatic pipes that let you buy digital OOH across many owners. Adomni and Vistar Media power much of the digital taxi-top inventory. Best for agencies buying programmatically.
Marketplaces
Self-serve platforms that aggregate inventory from many owners so you can compare and buy in one place. AdQuick is the main one for taxi/car OOH. Best if you want to compare vendors without calling each.
Agencies / brokers
They plan and buy on your behalf across formats. Useful for hands-off, multi-format campaigns — but they resell owners’ inventory, so you pay a layer for the service. Many pages that rank for “OOH advertising agency” are lead-gen; buy from ones that are transparent about what they own vs resell.
